    Levelsync 50 content in HS? and other first-Eorzean problems.

    Speculations!

    Will all current 50 content remain 50 content? Will it Levelsync char lvl and ilvl after 3.0?

    Also:
    - Will you tolerate "grayed out" icons on your main hotbar for those lvl 51+ skills when you go back to do the substantial amount of lvl 50 content?

    - Do you have enough hotbar space for an additional 2-3 skills?

    Your level get synched to 50 or 53, your skills past 50 get locked and gear get level-synched to ilevel 110 if they don't change it.

    However, they've talked about this and heavily hinted that there will be something that changes. (Perhaps the content will be upped to level 60 or simply not be sync'd?)

    Currently there are two kinds of level 50 content in game. There's level 50 content that is level sync'd, and there's level 50 content that is not. Many of the older level 50 4-man instances have a level sync on them at this time. Those will get sync'd to level 50 after the expansion. Instances that do not currently have a level sync on them will be treated as a minimum level 50 dungeon to enter, so you'll be level 50 - 53 when you enter once the level cap has been raised. I suspect that the 8 and 24-man raids will also function this way, though I seem to remember something about how "Current endgame content will be easier with level 60 characters and gear" from a live-letter at some point.

    FYI: This is mostly speculation, but I think it's about as close as you'll get to an answer before June. :P

    EDIT: The more I think about it, the more it makes sense that all level 50 4-man dungeons will act like level 50 minimums. Otherwise there will be a lot of dungeons that are level 50 minimum with a level sync of level 50, which is stupid. :P I suppose on the plus side, a new player who hits level 50 could run each one once and end up at level 52 or 53...

    Levelsync to a "concrete" 50 (or 53) seems kind of silly. The I-Levelsync some of the current content has is fine to keep these places relevant/appropriately challenging. Granted, If you're level 60 with synched 110 gear the dungeon will be easier than if your lvl 50 w/ synched 110.

    However, it wouldn't be take much effort to add a hidden metric that increases the difficulty of the dungeon relative to the average class level of the party. I know people would have a problem with this, but ultimately it's much less confusing to keep all the endgame content consolidated, instead of having "new" and "old" flavors.

    In the live letter, they mentioned a new ilvl sync down to the minimum for the dungeon to retain the challenge. Maybe they will have a level range you can do content within (making up a little for having min ilvl). This will make the dungeons feel a lot more like pre-50 content where ilvl doesn't allow you to roflstomp everything.

    i predict capped iLevel at 110 for everything currently capped at 110 and capped level at about 52ish for the currently available dungeons.
    Why add features you don't need, after all?
