Compared to launch what we have today is nothing, I have just learned to ignore /tells and more often than not im on /busy, cause frankly no one I know talks in /tells anyway. rmt are a fact of life in an mmo and you learn to adapt and ignore them or let them bother you and ruin your day. I opt to enjoy the game and ignore them. I don't even blist anymore cause its not often you get more than 1 tell from a rmt bot anyway.

What people are not realizing is that RMT are not the problem. The real problem are the people who buy the gil and keep them in business. Don't be scared to report someone if they are openly talking about buying or selling gil but remember gil is relatively easy to come by in this game so not everyone with a large amount is buying it. There are plenty of legit ways to become a gilionaire, its the lazy people who don't think its worth time to put effort into anything that tend to buy gil.

I play on Sargatanas and honestly, I have no idea what I am doing that you folks are not, but I haven't seen a single shouted RMT ad for over a year, in any area...

I never use busy, because frankly, I only get 2-7 RMT tells no matter how long I'm online. When I get to the 200 max on the Blist, i just remove the top 30 names.

Bots, I ignore in the world, but if I get one in my party, I draw the line. I make a point of requiring each party member to talk/respond to chit chat before we get started. And I mean more than just a scripted 'hello'. If they do not answer a simple, 'what world are you from?' then we wait until we can dismiss. Mind you I can get away with this because I've got two friends I always party with and they are quite happy to wait.

That being said, if we players would just band together on EVERY world, have a few massive meetings and discuss how to deal with this locally, maybe we could resolve the problem ourselves to a large degree, since SE seems reluctant to deal with it despite thousands of viable, repeated and time tested resolutions to reporting the RMT.
