If you can't launch the bench, try to go to the option folder of the folder where you put the benchmark, then make sure the "read only" option is not check.
Wasn't able to launch the bench till I uncheck this options.
DX11 1920x1080, ultra everything
Score: 13898
Notes: Almost no stuttering whatsoever, meaning switch to DX11 boosts AMD card performance significantly
Notes 2: Dual card seems to be making a huge difference in DX11 ultra preset. I was getting about 50 fps at the beginning with one card, versus 120+ average with two cards in the same scene.
DX9 1920x1080, ultra everything
Score: 13393
Notes: Lots of stuttering like current game with AMD card, no multi-card support: 35 fps momentarily at big giant dragon fish thingy in sky
My hardware is:
CPU: i7 4771
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro
GPU: R9 290X x2 (CROSSFIRE)

1920 x 1080 Maximum settings DX11
Using a GTX660ti
Score: 6299
Performance: Very High
Not too bad I guess. I was planning to upgrade anyway.

try going to your Download folder and finding the zip file "ffxiv-heavensward-bench.zip" right click it and check the properties make sure that the program is unblocked windows doesn't like downloaded zips

Maybe there's some luck to it. I restart my computer twice and this latest time it was finally able to launch the character creator. Definitely not a very tech savvy solution, but I guess it worked for me. >.>
Does anyone know how to add the character we made in the character creation section into the benchmark for testing?

Excuse my ignorance but what is this?
Only took a couple minutes to download, though slower than I would have expected for only 1.6 GB.
