The fact that almost every au ra pick face #1 makes them all look the same to me @_@ its refreshing to see some au ra with the wing horns.

I agree it's super over done- but I cant stand the wing horns because the face just looks too "fishy" to me.

And, as much as I hate being like a copy of like every other blonde female raen read; all of them I can never seem to get any other face to look good without her looking grumpy, ugly or a bit of both

Well I personally see a lot of different Au Ra faces everyday. Face 1 might be the most popular by a small margin (and it has to be for a reason) but I also see a lot of wing horns and forward pointing horns. The one I almost never see is the one with the large horns pointing downwards, not a lot of people seem to like it.
