Is there a reason lip color wouldn't change?

For example:

The only colors that would show a change were the odd looking pastels. Yes it was set to dark color and I tried every shade on far right. No change. Pastels on left did work.

Maybe that mouth shape?

It's the new lighting. I was messing around with the makeup and limbal rings and when i changed time of day, and location my Au Ra would look fairly different..the colors would change quite a bit.

@DoctorSecksy: Male in my opinion as there's already too many females who look just like or similar to that. Your enjoyment of it regardless is always more important than what everyone else thinks or is doing of course.

I prefer the male here but they really give a different feeling, be sure to choose wisely!

Alright it seems the shade difference in the darker lip colors aren't really different from each other.

Middle hues and light colors all show okay( the pastels look like cheap lipstick for a Halloween costume) but the darker shades, the darker I went in any given color, the less I could tell what color it was, regardless of light on any skin tone Raen and any but human peach Xaela.

Sad.
