    Something I've wondered about T13

    Does anyone else wonder if there's some sort of missed mechanic with Teraflare? I remember at one time SE has said that every fight in the game is designed to be winnable with no LB at all(no source on this, but I remember hearing about it quite a bit). With no tank LB or mitigations, teraflare hits for over over 12k damage. This is standing in the neurolink. How exactly are we meant to survive this if the fight is supposed to be winnable with no LB? Just something I thought about for months but never bothered to bring up.

    Simple answer: they changed their stance or decided it was ok for the final fight of the raid.

    I think they did it because the tank limit break is never used, so they'll create a reason for it to be used, much like Ultima weapon HM

    Terraflare was meant to be T13's hard HP check. Which, without crafted gear, you would not be able to meet without sufficient gear. So, one could only assume, without tank LB, you'd need maximum mitigation (Covenant, succor, stoneskin, soil) in order to survive without lb.

    they did it, that groups cant bypass the whole add phase by simply using caster lb 3

    Also pretty cool to see a giant wall come up when Teraflare is going off.

    Prior to patch it was impossible to skip/bypass any adds. Post patch, the only adds that can be skipped are the shadow. If you have lb3 by time you get to add phase kuDos, my group post echo barely hit lb2 then we campout and do sing a longs waiting for terraflare. From what ive heard is its possible to live thru TF cuz echo, but we still tank lb anyways

    when your group progressed t13 with ilvl <115 you had lb3 for sure, except you had to use a lb bar in some other way before

    you can just nearly 1 shot both sins + blood + pain + ghosts, where many groups struggled during their early progression periods

    Probably survivable if you have every type of mitigation up but not sure. It makes as much sense as DF for t13, certain roles such as WHM + SCH + Bard need to locked in. Without a bard, you wipe during phase 3 no matter what cuz whm ran out of mp. Most of the time, if you get sch + sch or whm + whm, you do nothing but waste 15minutes to just abandon.

    I was running T13 nearly every day last weeks. There were rarely some fights without unnecessary damage and I got it manages to heal these fights without ballad (solo healed phase 3). In one fight I was really surprised. Had more than 2k mana left.

    Its doable without bard, but heavily depends on a close to perfect group.
