In a game like this you kind of know what to expect in a Raid. It's going to be lots of mechanics you practice until you know them all exactly and can farm it in your sleep. There is never anything strategic about large scale Raids.
Expect? I think we would like to expect new content mechanics, not just more of the same.
Expecting more from boss fights. You must be new to this whole "MMO" thing.
Well, welcome to disappointment. You'll get nothing more than a slight twist on what we already have, maybe more of the same.
Sorry to interrupt or suggest change to the usual basic routine... May I suggest that if dungeons were lengthier and more difficult with ending bosses (coil), players would not be so inclined to quit so quickly. This may add some room for challenge and strategic planning as a party, instead of just simple memorizing and hoping to get a perfect "one-shot" clear party. It may also make fights more interesting so you aren't just farming items in your sleep. lol!
I like the raid bosses honestly. I'd just be happy not to see the same shit rehashed ten more times personally. How many more times can they really do the "divebombs and dragon adds" thing?
Honestly, I really like raid boss fights too. Just like to see more time spent fighting through a dungeon, also making a strategy to beat a difficult boss. How it is can be irritating where I'm at almost clearing a certain turn in coil, but have to find players at the same exp of the fight. In example, it is more like 1 step foward 2 steps back in progressing to the win. Strategy seems missing and repitition is all I see.
Which is fine, but you have to remember changes are risky. Wildstar did the hard core thing, you see where that left them. It's easier ( and safer) if we get scripted, "dull" fights so that more of the population can see content. Hell, yoshi-p has already stated that 2.xs raiding setup was not seen by the numbers they expect, so I wouldn't expect things to change much. They'll make it easier if anything.
Considering that 3.0 will involve dragons and dragon adds...

Its not a final raid without dive bombs LOL. Dive bombs means everything to yoshi hence y they always come back lol.
ugh the new raid yltakes place inside I mechanical giant I find it hard to believe there will be many things to do with dragons.
And I'd much rather the new raids be bigger don't give a crap if it needs to be small because of duty finder MAKE THEM BIGGER SE WE DEMAND IT.
