    Special Ability Gear Ideas

    Heya! So there has been some talk about gear with certain special abilities maybe/possibly making its way into 3.0.

    Now I'm not sure how it was done in FFXI, but I was thinking something along the lines of named abilities on gear that would reflect a special ability attached to said gear, similar to how FFX worked.

    NOTE: This is just a fun little diversion, not a serious request. Maybe it gets picked up by the devs, maybe it doesn't ever get considered. I don't care. That being said, try to make them reasonably balanced, but also have fun with it.

    Status Resist - Increases Resistance to Status Effects; Stackable. Full Immunity possible only if full set of -Proof gear is equipped. Some Status Effects (Boss-Exclusives, Damage Floors, etc.) cannot be resisted.

    Poison Ward -> Increase Poison Resistance by 5%
    Poisonproof -> Increase Poison Resistance by 10%
    Blind Ward -> Increases Blind Resistance by 5%
    Blindproof -> Increases Blind Resistance by 10%
    Slow Ward -> Increases Slow Resistance by 5%
    Slowproof -> Increases Slow Resistance by 10%
    ...etc.
    Ribbon -> Increases Resistance to all Status Effects by 2.5%
    Super Ribbon -> Increases Resistance to all Status Effects by 5%

    Your idea is cool, but yeah the effects just feel a bit.. mmm...
