EYEBROWS?

[Huh]

Where are highlanders eyebrows? An age old question wondered by millions. You'll note that it was said that <10% of NA players have cleared FCOB. I've deduced its because highlanders everywhere are devastated by their lack of eyebrows. Those of us who could no longer suffer with the agony have begun to paint on our eyebrows, the results are catastrophic. Turn away if you are easily squeamish:

A new race? With horn options. But you know what else? Eyebrows. Even our sisters can grow eye hair.

Here is what some NPCs would look like if they suffered the same injustice highlanders face everyday.

Male highlanders actually do that to themselves when they go into battle.

Agreed on all counts. Give the poor bears more brow-paint options and they'll be swatting the ladies away. If they aren't already.

I've never seen the link, but apparently highlander males shave off their eyebrows because it's a cultural thing.

Since we're never gonna have eyebrows for male highlanders I'd love it if we get more face eyebrow options in the face paint section. The current one is simply too thick and depending on color and/or transparency, it'll look very fake

If you could find the lore statement to that that would be a good read. I think because of the 1.0 to 2.0 transfer they didn't add the eyebrow options because they weren't there in 1.0. Lore is made to justify anything in game, not sure why highlanders would shave eyebrows specially when there are paint options and females have them.

They had everyone who had a character created in 1.0 change their character, choice or not, via a Fantasia given to each 1.0 account holder. So, you had to change your character regardless because they made changes to each character choice in terms of voice, modeling, etc, however slight they were.

That they chose to keep the Highlanders as they were in 1.0 means that it's an intended aspect of that race.

According to a member of the dev. team at a FanFest held, this is what they had to say regarding the Highlanders' lack of eyebrows:
