I'll give you that, but the source this topic is based on isn't any more credible. Point being, people shouldn't be getting overly excited with their expectations. Heck, I would still say that even if the info came straight from an official Q&A post from SE.

There's pretty much been a new thread each week that's essentially: "My Bestest Ideas On How To Fix SMN™ (SE PLZ READ)".
If not a thread, then about 10-20 posts about it, even though SE said many months ago that they've changes planned, but to wait patiently until 3.0.
You'll never stop them complaining, ever.
They're like cockroaches; if you step on a SMN, two more will come out of nowhere and complain they need buffs because a BLM could've survived it with Manawall.

I don't think SMN as we currently know it to being a DoT based class will change. However, I feel whatever they add from here on out might influence how we play the class. For example, more expansion on the SMN - PET abilities. There was also something I heard on reddit along the lines of a tweak to Tri-Disaster they were murmuring about on the nico stream.
I just want my summoner to feel, well, more summonerish.
I liked in aion where your nukes weren't exactly you throwing a nuke, but you'd press a command and the pet would nuke for you or execute some special ability.
Let's face it, the pet abilities themselves are pretty crappy. Great, you use a pet command that causes the pet to do an aoe attack weaker than its own autoattack, it's not exactly exciting stuff.
There's also the issue that they stuck the egis in ghettos. If you want egi variety in use, their damage has to be pretty similar, because damage is a premium good and people will always choose it over anything else. So titan egi never sees the light of day outside solo farming.
So normalize the damage among egis so ifrit, garuda and titan do similar damage, but make their usage predicated on the utility they bring. Ifrit could give an offensive party buff and have its stun, titan could give a defensive party buff, and garuda could do an aoe group movement increase or movement while casting buff or maybe group resource regen.

Great, thanks forum community.
If they've changed my favourite job in the game into a dull spammy copy of BLM to appease the whiners here I'm coming for you.

I hope there's either more support elements (like SCH or BRD), or there's more burst damage for dealing with lesser threats.

This is literally all the info this reddit post has to offer concerning SMN.Originally Posted by Rddit Post

But yeah lets resort to wild speculation about limit breaks and bahamut egi ASAP!

I usually find Slycer's translations on Blugartr to be a bit better.
The "change considerably" with mention of "with the new added actions" I think is important. Doesn't sound like they are completely revamping the job, but the new actions will greatly change how it plays.* They are reviewing the action rotations for basically all jobs. (Yoshida)
* The black mage skill rotation will be quite different. (Takai)
* Many existing actions will be adjusted. (Yoshida)
* Battles will change considerably for summoner with the new added actions. (Takai)
* It's still secret at this time, but there will be various changes, like to Tri-something-or-other. (Yoshida) [[Tri-distaster, I would assume]]
I also find it very lazy that the OP's source states :When Slycer's is :No plans to show TP.Source:They have begun working on an improvement to displaying TP but this won't be ready in time for the release of Heavensward. (Yoshida)

I didn't realize Blue Gartr was still around. I thought they went the way of EJ.
