Thread: Is it true about RELICS in 3.0?!

No... noone's saying anything of the sort except those angry that the Mythics aren't Relic Reborn Repeating (i.e. continuation of the Relic Reborn questline).

Good to know, so they'll still be useful for the most part then. Hmm... I guess I could wait until 3.0 to do the other Relics as I want to collect them all of all my classes, they all look amazing.

If they're going to nerf it come 3.0 are they going to nerf the Animus Books as well? Honestly that's one of the biggest roadblocks from starting a new Relic at the beginning. I dislike doing 9 books in total.

It won't be irrelevant... Y said there will be something special for people who completed the Zodiac quest and he said i130 level is pretty high in Ishgard till about level 55.

This is great news! I can now stop busting my butt to get one and just wait for 3.0 when it becomes easier to get.

btw, I seem to recall reading somewhere on certain letter that the relic quest will still be continued after 3.0. Whoever gave the idea that relic quest are finished in 2.0 anyways?

The game... it says "Zodiac Quest completed" once you get the Zeta weapon. That's where everyone is getting it from.

While there has been no mention of Relics coming to an end, there has been say that Mythics aren't the next stage of Relics. I can't quote which letter it was, but I do remember seeing it.

My guess is this:

The Zeta will last for a good chunk of Heavensward.
Once you hit 60, there will be a new quest for the new relic weapon.
Players who have obtained their Zeta's will get to skip the first few steps while those that did not get their Zeta will have to work through it to obtain their new relic weapon.
Players should have the choice to transfer over their stats from their Zeta onto their new weapons.
3.1 introduces the new upgraded relic line that will probably go for the entire 3.xx cycle.

Just some thoughts.
