

I also thought that the new jobs would have the 2.x relics, even if only for glamour.





I suppose some people may be new to the vertical growth vs FFXI ish horizontal growth but I feel like getting the best weapon in the game with glamour opportunity (and just having a reliable weapon to progress, though grindy) was/is reward enough.
Beyond I guess just keeping the weapon to move on to the next step I don't see there really needing to be more reward for what is a natural vertical progression reward. Personally I thought they would significantly nerf 2.0 relic questline and just carry it forward, and then add the option to buy in at the 3.0 stage (spend a couple mil (server based cost) or spend the 5-10 hours doing the nerfed grind).

would of been nice if they could of had our old relic be broken in the conflict and have to be remodeled into the new stuff rather then having something you have worked hard for being rubbish to throw away



A "nerf" for the alexandrite part could be increased Alexandrite drop and/or higher chance to get mateia IV from level 51+ gear (a higher supply will decrease the prices)

And they could sell the maps for something like 35 Law when each run in Lv.60 dungeon gives 100 Law, for example. A ratio that would practically make it trivial to get Alexandrites from maps.
Or they could take all RNG out of the whole 2.x Relic chain. Meaning that as long as you have the correct weapon equipped, every FATE would give you the required Atma, or Alexandrite, and every designated dungeon in the Zodiac stage would give you the required drop. Lights could be double yet again. That would take the frustration out completely.
Well, there's no rule saying that glamour gear must be easy to obtain. :3
why we need stats on a glamour weapon? alexandrite part coul be just 1 alexandrite infused on the scroll and u can continue the relic quest or if u wish u can keep adding materias. But who is going to farm materias or buy it for a glamour weapon?


Have you guys ever considered that this might be like what XI has with artifacts/relics/mythics/empyrian? Old relics might still have their upgrades and so does the new one if that really exist.
Juding by the post in this thread i doubt they understand how relics carried over every expansion in FFXI. People should rag less on people for wanting relics to be carried over when by comparison to there other mmo thats what was done.
I understand the point people are making, but this isn't FF11. Looking at the info, it looks like 3.0 relics will be a stand alone. Maybe the perk they're speaking of for having zeta means that you can skip a part of the grind, but in either case, this isn't FF11, I don't know why you're expecting the same concept to be carried over.
Remember the crafting specialization thread with people speculating and part of the speculation was based on FF11's crafting system? Two different games.
