??? Are you daft? It's not the "casuals" that whine about a lack of endgame content ("nothing to do"), it's the "hardcore" who finish everything in the first week. "Casuals" are still trying to finish T5.

Those people you mention just unsub and wait for the next tier's release and they're small in number. The casuals don't whine like that right now because they have something to do that they can't beat. When alex nm rolls out it'll be cleared in 1 day and it'll basically turn into an extra weekly ct series. Then they'll set their sights to the next unreachable thing.
Alexander will be available to everyone once it is up. There is no restriction to enter it other than character job level and possibly item level. They've stated a bunch of times that you don't need to complete coil to access Alexander and that the story mode difficulty would be like coil with the Echo. o:
I think what Gardes is pointing out is that at some point, people will be calling out for nerfs to the Hard Mode of Alexander for the sole purpose of better loot and instant gratification. The difficulty would be higher than that of (at least) FCoB. So obviously, not a lot of players will be able to clear it. Soon you would see the, "I want the best loot! Why do Hardcores get everything?!" crowd demanding for nerfs. Evident in previous topics, some players do not like nerfs to the raids (with the exception of the Echo). Anyway, that's my take on what they said. xD

I can definitely see this coming. People complaining about not getting the top tier gear while they're actually paying for a susbcription (Just to mention one of their arguments).
I'm really excited to give Alexander HM a try. I love challenge, and I wouldn't blame the dev team for making it really hard but myself for not being able to clear. And again, I really doubt it will be as hard as the current Savage. If the current Coil was beaten by less than the 10% of the player's population, making it like Savage will reduce that number to a 1% or even less!

Current coil was beaten by less than 5% of the players who bought the game on PS3/PS4, and that's based on Sony's own trophy data for players completing the BCOB Turns 1-5. Not sure of the PC numbers, but it's clear that comparatively few have completed even turn 5 of coil
Anyone who whines that the normal mode drops are not the same as hard mode will need to get a swift reminder of reality, along with an even swifter kick.

10% is the JP servers, its 2% on the NA ones.I can definitely see this coming. People complaining about not getting the top tier gear while they're actually paying for a susbcription (Just to mention one of their arguments).
