I'm not complaining about the animations or anything but the whole action II, and weaponskill II, thing is kind of lame. It was cool when FFXI did it with spells mostly because if they were a ninja spell they could be used in succession, or in the case of a mage the effect changed.

I think the effects themselves are more unique then most other MMO's but for some reason I still feel like i'm just giving all my characters invigorate and second wind and then not really stressing out if i have one or two skills on my pallet that never get used.

When i first started playing the game i was under the impression i'd be having versatile characters, but I mostly just stick with whatever WS's their main job gets, and then throw on cure, and raise, and an assortment of other skills that after a combined 150 skills the only interchangeable ones i really care about are invigorate and second wind, maybe stuff like rampart, ambidexterity (only useful on 1 job), and punishing barbs but those only get used when i'm in a jam and every 3-4 fights cause the recast time is so long.

I'm just curious how little i've heard about skills in the upcoming 2.0 and 1.20-1.xx updates, and even though skills now are pretty decent they still don't really evolve the gameplay experience from 1-50 as much as they did in FFXI, (where a SAM starts off as a katana wielder and ends up an insane TP spammer).

I see some evolution though, a lancer's invigorate II, Speed surge II, Twisting vice, and keen fury really make them valuable at stopping a lot of TP attacks, other then Invigorate II none of they're 20 or so transferable skills really matter on other jobs.

tl;dr
Lets just talk about skills and what we like and don't like, cause i'm really surprised how little conversation I see about them.
