Funny, I see just as many warriors fighting for aggro as I do paladins. The only reason I go in there as warrior is because I don't want to MT if I can help it. If I go in on Paladin, I will end up as MT regardless of Sword Oath.
I find it being an OT is more fun on WoD, so please MT.

Exactly. If I don't have to MT I wont. Not about to play ping pong with the boss just so he can become pissed and AOE everyone in the path. I'll ask my party "are you up for healing a MT?" That answer will determine if I should MT if needed. If someone wants the shine that much be my guest. I'm here to clear that's my glory.

Plus when I was farming this boss most tanks wanted to OT it. I only ran into a few gun ho tanks. Fine by me I know how to dodge AOE and play OT.

OTing definitely feels more fun, plus you get to deal with some of the most interesting mobs as a result of it. Iron Giants, Sandmen, etc etc. XD

Of the times I've gone in to any of those 24-man raids as a Tank I wonder if people felt I was trying to steal aggro from them. I am fine being a MT but I couldn't care less either way. What will end up happening is because I run full Strength right side I'll be sitting there not in Defiance and if I even hit one Butcher Block combo I'm right up there about to pull hate. It actually makes me mad because I'm sitting there like, "WTF is this MT doing? Hitting it with a noodle?"

There's a lot of people who are running CT raids undergeared (or, rather, at the "appropriate" average gear level but with weird ilvl distributions across their gear), and a lot of people working on relics and stuff so their weapons suck at the moment. My gear isn't exactly terrible but I'm still on my atma relic stage, and I'm too cheap to buy a temporary weapon so I have a hard time holding threat against people with zodiac/poetics weapons. Plus a lot of new/unconfident tanks run full vit accessories without realising how much it hurts threat generation.Of the times I've gone in to any of those 24-man raids as a Tank I wonder if people felt I was trying to steal aggro from them. If you want a easy strong weapon the conquerer easy to get and have really good stats. Enough to manage until I get a better weapon. There's a lot of people who are running CT raids undergeared (or, rather, at the "appropriate" average gear level but with weird ilvl distributions across their gear), and a lot of people working on relics and stuff so their weapons suck at the moment. I've already stated it in other threads, but I'll state it here too.
I've only ever called MT twice in the Crystal Tower stuff. Once during ST, and once during LofA. In ST, it was actually reasonable and I actually got to MT most of the way. (I think the other Tanks initially tried to pull hate off me, but couldn't. Their efforts were in vain) It wasn't until the final boss that the other Tanks started really flashing their e-peens at me and insisted on provoking the final boss off of me, and then constantly to each other. I just turned on Sword Oath and went to work that way.
LofA was what convinced me to never MT again. I stepped up to Tank the Behemoth, only for half the DPS and the other Tanks to start doing everything possible to keep Behemoth aggroed on them instead of letting me establish hate. (A DPS launched an early attack then kept going) And they had the nerve to taunt me about it, which resulted in some other people on the alliance calling out those people. "There seriously need to be less trolls in this game." Is what it amounted to.
I've only ever OT'd in the Crystal Tower stuff since. Especially since I keep noticing tank players that are too busy having e-peen wars on the biggest foe in the room and COMPLETLY ignore the other enemies in the room, leaving them to chew the DPS and Healers. Course, with some of the trollish DPS players out there, I can't blame players for wanting to avoid the tank roles all together. But that's a different topic of complaint that I've gone over in other threads already.

OMG, this is perfect. I'm going to use this from now on. XD
Thank God, someone else does this too. ^_^;*FYI the big comet drops come after each center-focused laser blast from the main. So OTs can go full deeps then put on the +HP/Dmg mitigation right after the blast and make it out to the back of the parking lot to get the comets. This is a sure-fire way to earn comms from the smart BLMs and BRDs as well, 'cause apparently they appreciate continuously attacking.
