It is awesome...yeah... I'm just not sure I like the fact that the devs spend time creating things like this, which are only for teasing and never gonna actually happen. As opposed to, y'know, actually working on the actual game.

It's their cinematic team, I guarantee. Which doesn't detract from other work if their cinematics are done.

A lot of the animation in it, is animation that already exists in the game (for your player characters.) They're just applied to different characters. The actual "new" parts aren't really the combat bits but the choreography of limit breaks.

the solution is simple..... make it happend!

It's not "the devs" doing things like this, it's the cinematics guys.
I've done a little computer animation, and it really doesn't take any actual coding if the models and stage accessories are already available for you to manipulate. I imagine like others have said their cinematic team did this with the models that are already in the system. To make a fluid 5 minute video really only takes a couple of days of work if that's what your time is dedicated to.

always gotta be a buzzkill when game teams do something for fun like this, and they people wonder why companies stop messing around and having fun with their fans/playerbase.

While I wouldn't mind it in different circumstances, I think it's bad taste to put out these kinds of gags when there's so little content to the current game.

				So little content? O_o
As for the vid, that was awesome and it would be fun if something like that was implemented in Gold Saucer.

Lmao, true colours exposed. I'm sorry but FINAL FANTASY XIV content > every other content in the universe combined. In both quality and quantity and variety.
