    What's the easiest way to add people as friends? I'm relatively new to the mmorpg thing and was wondering how to build up my friends list.

    Partake in group contents such as FATEs or party finders. It's impossible to find friends through the duty finder since when you're in duty, you really can't do anything related to friend's list or linkshells.. or even FC for that matter. So all your friend making will have to be done in the overworld.
