One of my gripes with this game, is the lack of quests available when leveling up additional classes. As much as I enjoy grinding fates and running dungeons, will more quests be available in the xpac?
Has this been talked about?

Probably the only available quests will be 30-50ish for the new classes only, then 50+ for everyone else.
I've personally found levequests to be the fastest means of leveling a class. I've zipped up 10 levels in the last week on my NIN (just hit 40) almost entirely via levequests with the daily dungeon roulette for some variety.
That's why there are levequests.. All other MMOs also have a limit to the number of quests available.. Then rest are repeatable which is the same as levequests. Other than the 6/day limitation, but that's really not too bad.
No, they're going to make an entire expansion and it won't have any quests in it.. :P
Seriously. Normal quests aren't any more interesting than levequests, sooo. Do levequests? I also guarantee you that leveling up is way faster, plus more social, if you do dungeons. Why do people want there to be 5,000 quests so they can use them as the only means of leveling up? Are fetch quests really that exciting? You know the quality would tank even more if they had to make that many quests. Is their some unspoken hatred of levequests that makes sense in the face of an overwhelming love of quests?
You didn't manage your quests better. I still have 30% of all available side quests in the game. Of which, they are being split between my two remaining classes that are yet to be 50 (War and Nin). Quest Management
lol quest managementYou guys would be so jelly to know I only did like 20 side quests total, all of them with specific rewards (i.e. materia melding, gold saucer type, Hildibrand kind) I see exclamation points everywhere! I wish I could turn'em off actually..
It would be nice if the beast men dailies were like the Ixal where you can start from lv 15 up 50. Instead all the other tribes start around 44
I think it is likely some lower quests will be added, from time to time in the patches they have added some quests. But I am not sure, since the expansion is centered in Ishgard.
I used the quests to level (with dungeons too) only the first class I leveled, since it's the only class you have at that moment and you use it all the time. Now the low level roulette and guildhest roulette, together with the challenge logs (try to make sure you finish the challenge with the class you are leveling) are the best ways to level up. Maybe some FATEs (or levequests) if you just need some exp to level up and have a better quest or dungeon available, or while you wait the queue if you are leveling a DPS. The hunting log also gives exp.
Considering this is my 2nd to last 50 class and that's on top of dailies, relics, and everything else an active 50 player has to do, it's actually great. 1-2 levels a day is a nice leisurely pace, with barely more than an hour of work (not counting DPS queue time, which I use to craft.)
