talking to new players and offering and forcing are to different thingsInviting newbies straight to a LS/FC without knowing them is a little bit intrusive, what if they do not want to join straight away while they get their bearings? I think that people will join and FC when they are ready for it, when I started playing in early access with my BF we did not want to join an FC asap :/.
Sometimes doing things like this might be a little overbearing. I usually cast Stoneskin on all lowbies and newbies levelling in the low areas however and I /wave ^^.there is a decline button for a reason.

In WoW, when you make a lowbie character you are bombarded with guild invites. It is so bad, the developers made an in-game function that automatically turns off guild invites >.>.
A decline button doesn't mean it is not annoying.
I understand your issue with it but im not saying to jsut walk up and invite anyone, if your talking wtih a person or helping them and say "if you have anyother questions let me no, and if you would like a LS that helps new players let me know"
In lower pop servers like Zalera this happens. It's almost borderline harassment the way some FCs target sprouts. I've seen a lot of new players join one just to stop the invites without having to go /busy or they don't know about /busy yet.
So yes, please. Ask the sprouts before you send them a FC invite ^^/ Those invites can be just as intrusive as the RMT spam, believe it or not.

Yeah, it's basically this on Zalera, when I was running around without an FC for a while I'd get one every once and a while just out of nowhere, sometimes I'd decline and I'd get another from the same folks immediately. In lower pop servers like Zalera this happens. Like c'mon, if you want to invite someone bad enough to hit them with 2 invites the very least you can do is say 'hi', right? Take em out to dinner , woo em just a bit. Doesn't have to be like a rigorous screening process, but something.
Exactly XD I'm far more likely to join your FC or friends list if you're willing to talk to me first. At least that's how I felt when I first started.Yeah, it's basically this on Zalera, when I was running around without an FC for a while I'd get one every once and a while just out of nowhere, sometimes I'd decline and I'd get another from the same folks immediately.
