I just met one of the nicest people I've met in game by help a sprout, taking two seconds to ask someone if they need any help can really help someone establish themselves into the community, this game can be pretty overwhelming at first for new players.
Uninvited fc/ls invites is super rude, and what is there that really needs gil early on..? I got by just fine with only quest rewards. I'm all for being nice to new players (go slow/explain things in duties, heal those struggling out in the world).. But I get suspicious/annoyed when people try to be "overly friendly."
Our ole youtube guide buddy ReadReborn is back and making 3min guides on lowbie dungeons aimed at sproutlings. Check it out!.

I wish you could cast Protect on people out of party. I see so many little sprouts I could use it on, but I can not![]()

Pop them a Adbloquium [sp not even going to try and fix that.]
or a stoneskin.It'll help a bit!
I wish we could too...maybe a Apotocatsis...[Still won't fix spelling lol.] and a E4E.

It is not available to whms, unfortunately.

The sprout icon can mean they are on the trial, meaning they can't send tells or accept FC invites. I'm sure there are other restrictions too.
Time to make alts and go panhandling in Ul'dah!
That's not what sprout icon means.. Sprouts CAN be on trial, but technically, non-sprouts can also be on trial because the Sprout icon can be clicked off in the player status setting and you can also play beyond 40 hours during the trials to make it go away by natural means.
Help sure gladly if I'm free too busy trying to clear T13 at the moment thou but give Gil?
HELL NO.
