Well I was on Behemoth back when it was pretty much the most populated server, it took nearly a year to fill my blacklist.
On Odin I currently have about 15 people blacklisted in the last 6 months.
If you don't blacklist them, obviously they will continue to message you.
I don't even remember the last time I actually got a tell from one, it's the 1 time a day friend request they try for me. thats it.
If your server is lower population, I don't know about malboro's numbers, it could be due to them going through the lower amount of names quicker.

Not sure why people think the number of RMT tells is very light. No. They do spam a lot. Just make a fresh character and play around a bit on these RMT heavy servers. You'll see and understand the complaints. Blacklisting them doesn't solve the issue when they can just MAKE A NEW CHARACTER and start the process over. It's a problem, but just because it isn't yours doesn't mean it can just be dismissed entirely.
That aside, the best way to solve this is IP Addresses bans, Character restrictions or 'Story Completion'(Level) up to X point. This would at least slow down the spam process. I personally wouldn't be bothered if I didn't get them within every 1-5 minutes in multiples.
I agree. If I only got a tell every 10 minutes or something like that I would be perfectly content. Easy to ignore that. However I get tells almost every minute and it is just to much to ignore. I also get "friend requests" a lot too. It is so dumb that when I click NO they are still on my friends list and I have to click NO again.
EDIT: A dev post right about now saying, "We are aware of the problem and are looking into solutions" would shut me up about this.

What you do is, go to their site and click on the contact support. Choose to chat with them.
Then use gfhdgfdh fdghdhfdgh as your chat name and give them hell. It feels good. They will drop the chat right away, then you can send them a survey.
lol, that is a bad idea for soooooooooo many reasons!!!! :P
Hahaha, this made me laugh out loud for real, it'd be some bittersweet justice, wouldn't it?
If only I had a premium NicoNico account. Do just that in the comment box of their live stream this weekend. Maybe THEN they'd get the point, haha!

what really annoys me are these friend requests. why do i have to delete every bot by hand from my friendlist? why is he added to my friendlist before i was saying "yes"?
