Yeah, afterwards. Some with dragons, succubus, wolves etc.
Can be seen in the site. I am disappointed... I had my hopes up of maybe possible concept arts they were thinking of. ._.
But thanks for the translation.![]()

Unfortunately, they said that Viera were initially considered, but then discarded in favor of the au ra, because they are too unique to Final Fantasy XII, sorry folks.

I personally blame the PS3. Viera aside (which I've always been pretty sure would not be added, due to reasons already stated by others), the earlier designs were likely much too complex for most people's systems to handle. And that's before we even get into issues like clipping, rigging, etc. etc.
It makes me rather sad. Quite a few of those designs are awesome.

One of their later designs for Viera had a cute look like the Lalafell, I thought they worked on a new type of race when they got to that stage :/.

Personally I don't like Viera and would never use one but the races in FFXIV were all taken from FFXI so its not like they haven't taken races from their other games.
Earlier on the voice actor for Thancred asked Yoshi-P about Bard's LB 3 and he said that it'll be attack based, he didn't specify what would happen to LB 1 and 2 though.

I believe that LB1/2 will be as they are and only tier 3 will be unique. Can't recall 'where' I heard this information but generally I can recall this stuff well enough... lol :P. I'll edit if my memory sparks. I know in the XX letter they specifically say tier 3 will be unique (1 and 2 not mentioned).
