you should get 3 swings on mahogany logs now, no? If not you need to update your gear, if yes then you need to learn where to chop. If you have high enough strength the location of items are in a fixed position so you know that mahogany is in the first half of the chop dialog, since at 46 you should be able to dig up mahogany with either 1 or 2 strikes this shouldn't prove a problem. This isn't a problem with the game its a problem with the way you are gathering. Hope that helps you.

I'll try adding some str. Incidently, there is nothing shabby about my gear, although my hatchet is NQ.
