Well, nobody is actually removing anything. Just take it as a "why would you like that one race less".

I'd replace the Roe's (especially femroes *shudders*) with Viera or Gria.
I'd easily get rid of the Lalafell. They're essentially LOLXDSORANDOM: The Race.
I'd replace them with something that's actually interesting, like the Burmecians/Cleyrans, the Yukes, or even the Nu Mou.

I don't want to see replacement as much as changes to the body models and animations of some of the races. Elezen? Make the shoulders move more fluidly when running (and make them less wide. The elezen are really broad for an elf-y race) and shorten that neck ever so slightly. Lalafell? I'd like to see them looking less like a precious moments doll made flesh and given more age variation that doesn't involve hair color or facial hair. The Roe seem clunky when they move, but that may be by design.
Insanity is a gradual process, don't rush it - Ford Prefect
I'd get rid of Miqote, because there's too many of them. I'm a species!

Haha, Yuke would be tough to create as a character... or tough to gear. But definitely be a fun idea. That's a kind of being I'd love to play!
Get rid of Miqo'te for sure.
Replace them with Guados. (FF10)

Personally I'd replace lala with gria. Both small but the later isn't pudgy and has horns/wings.
