that's not the issue the issue is we have never received a dev post on this not once the amount of threads there are on this matter is ridiculous for them to never comment on one.sadly OP, i have to clear this up. just went thru to make sure, but a total of 15 posts out of a possible 440+ were about rmt, some spread out over a 3-6 page gap. it may have been to most frequently asked question, but the way you have it worded makes it seem as tho that was the only question asked, when it wasnt.
I was confused about this as well.
It wasn't only questions about RMT, but NOBODY'S questions got answered at this month's LL because they RAN OUT OF TIME. I could understand if they answered questions and ignored RMT, but... they didn't even get to do the session! At that time, they said they'd carry the questions over to May's LL. But since the Niconico Con is this weekend, they might do a Q&A session there, too.
People need to have some more patience, imo.

I get RMT tells a fair bit of the time, but I'm sticking with my Pre-order.
I enjoy the game and I refuse to let the RMT ruin my enjoyment, if you love the game but cancel your pre-order - that's kind of your fault.
Don't let them ruin something you enjoy being a part of.
Balmung is near 24/7 lock-down but there must've been short period of time where the window was open.
The Gil sellers are getting worse, one even Friend Requested me yesterday and about 6 tells throught-out the day.
2 within an hour and one of them just now as I type this.
Using Balmung as an example of "I rarely get a tell" is bad because of what I said above, and any other that's near lock-down.
Believe it or not, other servers are ran rampant of RMT's, we just don't see. It actually does ruin peoples experience and many have
left because of it. People shouldn't have to play RMT police, report, blacklist be full to the brim, remove /tells and do
100 other things to enjoy the game. For every one we report, 600 million just back en masses.
I still have the same folks for months on my end. It was worse when I was on Leviathan.

It's probably their policy not to comment on RMT. I can understand and respect that.
They should add a filter to the chat to try and stop those types of tells/shouts before they happen. There is a 3rd party app that does this, and it's a feature that should be incorporated officially into the chat system.
you can /busy your toon and not get tells anymore...the bad thing is, it also ignores legit tells and ready checks...
The irony is that it only took a quick Google search to discover some interesting things about one of the most prolific gil-spam websites. I'm sure someone with greater resources at their disposal could have done far better.
Aside from the fact the site is about as trustworthy as a politician (not very), it's using a fake address. The site is using rented space from an American company, and many of the links simply return you back to the front page, despite promises to the contrary. Yes, I was annoyed enough to visit the site in the hopes I could find a complaints section. I used an old laptop (ancient actually, I think Egyptians once worshipped it) to avoid any potential spyware or malware issues to be on the safe side.
Surely it wouldn't take much to take a spear to the website and kill it permanently. There are already reports of people having been conned by the site through Google search, and since the server is based in the USA they've got plenty of laws against that sort of thing. This sort of thing is clearly actionable, but no action is taken. Disappointing.
Right now all SE seems to be doing is hacking at branches. What they need to aim for is the root.
After the second or third time of posting in the wrong forums, you'd probably get your forum account suspended or banned. Breaking the rules is not the way to complain. This is pretty stupid that so many threads on this matter and not one dev respond let alone a game master in hearing from a few on the English forum don't know if it's true so bear with me. But they respond more on the jp forums so lets do this.
BOMBARD THE JAPANESE FORUMS WITH THIS PROBLEM THEY WONT LIKE IT THEN GM WILL MOVE IN TO PUT THE POST BK ON THE ENGLISH ONE THEN WE DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND MAKE IT CLEAR THIS WILL CONTINUE TILL WE GET A REAL RESPONS.
Yoshida answered a question about the RMT situation btw:
Source : http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/commen..._yoshida_this/We actually have a special task force dedicated to control and get rid of much spam, and control it within the game and not only the incidents that are reported by our players. Internally we have a special group always checking, allways researching, allways going after RMT spam and trying to find them and strike them and make sure to removed this incidents as much as possible. We also are going through with like an undercover investigation where we try to find out larger groups of people who are doing the RMT spam and try to control it from there as well. Also from a daily basis we are banning a few thousands accounts and tens of thousands of accounts per month so on the players inpoint it may not seem that the incidents have reduced but we are doing that best to control it, there is a lot of RMT spam thats happening so we have to be continously vigilant in order to stop them and avoid those incidents.

And how's that been working? The approach they're currently taking is failing. I'm just hoping that a change is in store for Heavensward. Maybe that right click > report bit people are asking for and a longer blacklist.Because they
