Please read the whole thread again. Others have already given you an answer. You chose to ignore it. "create a PSN account corresponding to the copy you have bought."

I apologise if it seems like I ignored the obvious step I should take. I have a UK PSN account where all my games are registered to and I find it a waste if I have to create a US account just for one game. I am also playing the game using a UK account on my PC. I'm just getting the PS4 copy to try out the game on a console. Apologies for leaving this fact out which might have explained a few things.

I'd rather sell off/give away the disc rather than locking it to an account and not play it.

Stop trying to register the game using an SG PSN account.
