Hunter's Moon: The Curse of Dalamud (09/02/2011)

so i've killed a lot of these creatures. have gotten:

Moonlet (earring)
Moon Nut
Dalamud Nut

these three items seem to be at any of the camps you hunt them. can eat nuts :/ lol earring not so hawt but looks kinda.... cool. anyone else have any new info on this?

I'm in the same boat as you. Nothing but the 3 items in different areas.

Same here. They're not even specific to the two types of mobs it looks like. Both can drop. Haven't found any NPC's related to these yet either.

I was reading the event information again, and am thinking this is all we're going to get? Says it was meant as a gift to adventurers for the bombard stuff, but the rats stole it, and seeing as we kill them, get one, and can obtain none further...

As for the nuts, I keep wanting to think they are for food, much like how the Christmas Event was.

This event runs until September 20th, there is no way an event runs that long and this is the only thing it has going for it. I guarantee there will be more to this in the coming days. Kind of like the Spring Event with the eggs. We had no idea how to get the other helmets but that was because we had to wait for part 2 of the event.

LOL it does but it is actually the Moons. Big white moon and then the small red moon (in case someone hadn't realized what it is supposed to be yet) ^^

Agreed, I think there's more to this event than just this. The earrings don't seem to be special at all... maybe the nuts will play a part as well in trading it in for a better version? Managed to snag a few nuts (I can't find a better way to phrase this) and earrings for my all my characters, just in case!

That said, I love the way their lore is shaping up with the upcoming changes for the game and as always, hoping we'll get a hi-res version of all the Yoshida art he's been providing for these events =)

I'll keeping watch to see if there is more to the event. I hope so though.... but for getting the nuts.. I'm waiting a few days to get any extra's... I've noticed at every spot there seems to be 5-15 lvl 50 camping and killing everything... so yea very glad my sis and I did the event right when it started. ^ ^( there was maybe 4 of us lvl 25ish players at the time. much easier to get stuff)

wasnt that bad for me, could just be timezone/server related though lol
