    Not entirely. XIV Dark Knights seem to be a bit of a blend between historical dark (black) knights (lordless wanderers), Final Fantasy Dark Knight abilities, and Batman's modus operandi (punishing those the law can't touch).

    Yea my bad for going to generalise. When I said the lore of the Dark Knight was based on Batman. I meaned the lore of the FFXIV Dark Knights. I'm not sure if there are diferent lores on the orther FF.

    That's funny cause I thought Warriors more fit the Guts character right down to the overwhelming brute strength and Inner rage/beast that if they lose control of they basically go beserk.

    Dark Knights are refered to as Pariahs so they are definitely outcasts. I think we will see them play into the Main Scenario but not through Aymeric who is the commander of the Temple Knights after all.

    In seriousness I like the concept of a female dark knight being the knight trainer, though yeah if they do it too close to Lady Iceheart that would make her less unique.. though the fact that Dark Knights are more or less trying to save Ishgard from currupt leadership is a nice sounding story point especially with the religious zealotry that allowed what.. /a few hundred people/ to get thrown down the pit of death going on.. and that was just outside of Ishgard where you would think there would be more tolerance... yeah i am for Aymeric being a rare example of what Ishgard should be rather than a dark knight x.x there does have to be /something/ there worth saving..
