Calendar significance (astrology)

I remember spending a lot of time figuring out what birth date to give my character in version 1.0. There's been a long delay but I'm slowly starting to try to play the game again since RRB. Does the birth date have a significance? Can you point me to information about it, if it does?

It has significance in that certain days and months are connected with certain elements and members of the Twelve, and SE has stated like ten times in the past that someday there'll be some bonus every 18 days when your nameday comes around, but other than that, nupe, you just choose one and, hooraaay, happy namedaaay!

its derived from a joke of the cap of bytes in old games, you know how you capped your stats in some games with 255 and not 999.

Both times that I remember, I have made the birth date match the deity. I wonder if meaning will be applied to having them not match.

This is basically like selecting which one of the Twelve is your guardian, which gives you a meaningless +1 resistance to an element. Maybe they'll make use of it at some point or maybe they'll just drop it.
