How bout a multi player snow boarding race in the future?

I'm sure a lot of people remember that snowboarding game that had cloud snowboarding in ff7.

Wouldn't that be fun if SE could turn that into a multiplayer race in this game.

From what I understand, Yoshi stated in a recent interview that FFVII's snowboarding minigame is often requested as an addition to FFXIV and thus he's eager to bring a version of it into Gold Saucer in FFXIV. He even stated a basic idea for how the game would work, stating that the player would have to make their own snowboard with a Disciple of the Hand, presumably CRP, before they could play it.

Nothing is set in concrete at this stage though, but it's clear it's definitely on the agenda to be added sometime in the future.

I just hope this time around we don't have to avoid those stupid suicidal moogles like in the FFVII one who would always launch themselves into Cloud and send him flat on his face.

I can't wait, though I hope that there could be an option to get a basic board and upgrade it with MGP, kind of like how the chocobos are. I'm not a carpenter and I normally only have about 500gil on me haha.

My main concern with this is making it feel different to chocobo racing. It needs to have more to it than simply moving from side to side on rails. Not sure how they'll accomplish that unless they add tricks and such or something.

Yeah, that was my first thought. I highly doubt it will be a racing competition. In FF7 it was about dodging obstacles and beating your best time if I remember correctly.
