Fan Census: This is embarrassing

According to one of the most recent fan census (http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/commen...y_730k_active/) the North American servers have shown a pathetic and embarrassing completion rate for the final coil. Our best server, Gilgamesh, has 848 FCOB clears. When compared to the Japanese servers that would only put them in 16th for overall cumulative wins. When considered as a percentage of the server population the top 27 servers are all Japanese.

This is embarrassing. We should be doing better than this. They play the exact same game as us and we aren't even competitive compared to them.

What are you going to do? Carry the entire server? The people who want to get it done will get it done, and the ones who don't, won't.

As someone who's cleared fcob, what am I supposed to do with this information?

Or as a hypothetical someone who hasn't, what would I do with this information?

Also I feel like NA/EU has a lot more players who straight up don't care about coil, which is tough to quantify.

How is it embarrassing? You can look at it from these sides:
1. Some people don't wanna raid
2. Some people can't raid because require's static and people have no time for.
3. People in NA are bad.
4. We have learned well...from both here and in-game, people can't listen worth a crap
and has an IQ of a cheese french fry. So I mean...

Also they tend to be more respectful and the probably won't
leave after 1 wipe and don't curse others to hell unlike people in DF and they probably listen better.

In a culture where the focus is placed on the individual, of course American servers are losing. The Japanese culture focuses on the group and therefore find it easier to clear content that requires teamwork.

I only want to clear FCoB for story purposes only, not the drops.

Though I'm trying to beat T10 first before I work on the next ones in order. That damn Tether move that requires 3 players to soak up screws the parties I'm in a lot, we just seem to catch it in time. And we got downhill from there... that one mistake costs us dearly.

Gotten him to 1%, it's a pain. After that I kinda feel like not doing at the moment anymore and take a break. I'll clear when I clear it... otherwise I really don't care for the Coil Raids as I'm not much of a Raider.

JP have a different culture. Where they pretty much only play a game if they are good at it. In the NA it attracts a more casual audience that may play casually and not do coil or just want to RP or do see story quest line. While in Japan they see no reason to play the game if you aren't doing the top content in the game or are good at it.
