New to doing Glamours - questions

Just earlier, I've been unlocking the option for doing glamours on the gear that I have.

    - However, I have the catalyst for armoury, can it used infinitely then?
    - How can I obtain the other two (Leatherwork and Clothing)?
    - When will it be the right time to use the option, when I have higher level gear? I currently have gear equipped (ones which have blue background in the icon), from Lv45/50 job quests.

Do you have a lv.50 Doh job? If so, you can retrieve the quest in Mor Dhona to make the prisms for each glamor option. If not, you'll have to buy them off the MB. And no, each time you glamor an item, you'll use up the prism. Finally, the item itself will tell you which prism you'll need, but it's based upon the level of the item (I forget if it's either the item you want to vanity, or the item used in the vanity).

Personally, something like this shouldn't be something you get at level 50. Personally, this feature should be available in the early levels ( like level 15 or something.) Maybe I wanna glamour my Foestriker set to be on level 30 gear or something. Its just a little thing that does bother me sometimes ( i am leveling a new character and can't look a certain way I want.)

I think the item you want to project onto the other item has to match the level range of the prism.

To make the rest of this post less confusing:
glamoured = the gear you're actually wearing
projected = the item that the gear you're wearing is going to look like
glamour = the action of changing the appearance

You need a catalyst (glamour prism) within level range for each piece of gear you glamour. You craft them (level 50 craft per class, you need to buy the book from someone in Mor Dhona to craft them) or buy them from other crafters on the market board. They aren't cheap...They fluctuate anywhere from 5k to 10k each on my server.
The catalyst needs to be the repair class and item level listed on the PROJECTED item - so item level 1 boots (leatherworker) put onto the item level 50 greaves (armorer) that you'll actually be wearing require a Grade 1 Glamour Prism (Leatherworking) because the boots they'll look like are leatherworker.

You right click (or PS equivalent to open the little menu with "equip" and "discard") the item you want to glamour, select "Cast Glamour," and then select what you want it to look like from items in your armory chest or inventory. It will tell you what glamour prism you need, then you can cancel the window and go buy or make it. Then you go through the same window, and ta-da - you have a glamour. This will eat your catalyst, but not the gear, and yes - you can still equip the gear on other classes, put it in the retainer, or sell/discard it if you have it projected onto something.

    Glamour rules:
The item you want it to look like must be equippable by the current class. That means no tank gear on a healer.
It must take up the same amount of slots. Ex. You can't glamour a heavy armor (you know, the ones that take up your head and chest and make you run funny) onto a chestpiece, or a one-handed staff onto a two-handed staff, as the glamour item takes up one slot but the actually equipped one doesn't.
The item projected can't be higher ilvl that what you're changing the appearance of.
