Has anyone come across any halfway decent patterns to get these Lucis tokens to HQ? After trying the whole weekend, I've only come up with 6 HQ Duck Broth pots.
What was SE thinking making this only 40 duration?!

I found it easy and did it relaxed in about an hour or so. I didn't really look anything up either since nq'ing them is no big deal, just go trade nq back in for more duck bones. I personally just used IQ + CZ + SH2 + 2x RS I think for my opener. then cycled through HT x2 -> manipulation -> sh2 -> HT chain while using ToT where it made sense and reapplying these buffs + CZ where appropriate. Tried to go through as many of these cycles as possible while having cp for a good finisher with decent baiting for good/excellent.
Not even a well thought-out rotation here and still did it pretty easily.
You can check out an idea for a rotation here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...de-2-3-4-stars
Basically i go CZ + IQ + SH2 + 1 RS then HT spamming + Manipulation + CZ renewal till only 30 duration left (and about just enough CP for the finish moves), there comes the finishing BB with baiting for good/excellent and 2 x CS2. Normally i can use CZ 2 times, 3 times would be a bit tight since this is only 40 dura. I can get to IQ 8 or 9 most of the times, and end up with 70%-80% quality bar from NQ mats.
You can trade back the NQ for mats, so there is really no pressure here.

im using this rotation:
CZ (tot)
IQ, (tot)
tot only once
SH2
WN
RS
HTx3
(tot)
CS2 (tot)
if dura is 10 or 5. MM1
if CZ is down refresh CZ.
SH2
WN
HTx 4
(tot)
Manipulation (tot)
SH2 (tot)
HT till dura is 15 or 20.
ender depends on remaining cp.
SH (tot)
GS
(innovation if you have enough cp)
BB
end with CS2
I've done my WVR lucis and I do the following :
CZ, IQ SH2 HT to 10 DUR, the MM1, I hit every TOT that comes upand refresh CZ and SH2 as needed. Then I finish the craft off when im around 100 CP after MM.
I don't have a rotation for those but CZ, SHII, ToT, HT, Manip/MM-spamming my way to 9-11 stacks qand then ending with a bryegeot finsher seems to be the way to go. Trying to make a fixed rotation for them only got me unnecessary anguish and heartache.

this what i used to get all 8 Lucis
pretty much this for both gsm and bsm lucis... rng can still get the best of you tho.I found it easy and did it relaxed in about an hour or so. "Try not. Do or do not. There is no try."
Lucis tokens aren't that difficult, if you have trouble with manual crafting, hell.. you can either pick up a decent rotation, or.. you can just make a macro. macro will get you around 15% hq from what I heard, then you can just run that over and over, and turn in the nqs to Talan for retries.
Would I recommend that? Not really, it's not necessary. But if you're having a lot of trouble with it, that might be an alternative to consider. Just don't expect that kind of grind to teach you anything about 4 star crafting.
