    What does XIV bring to future Final Fantasies?

    As the title suggests.

    What abilities/features/enemies in this game will pass on to the next?

    Full Thrust is already in the FFXV demo when you equip one of the spears.

    Hallowed Ground is kinda new but in past FF games you get a similar effect when you use a Hero, so I'm not sure if it's original enough to see it in the future, who knows.

    Maybe we'll see Holmgang and Dragon Kick in the future.

    Also is the Avatar an XIV original? If it is that's definitely something we'll see in another game.

    Dragon Kick has existed in FF for awhile now, it's one of the Monk's signatures back as early as FF IV 0.o

    Chocobo Racing originated from VII. X's version was kinda meh. XIV is modeled from VII. Never played past the beginning of XIII ... that game just ... no.

    Forgetting the XI chocobo racing too O: Though never had much control over that one, other than equipping the chocobo and raising it to boost it's stats.

    its been in 7, 8, 10, 11, and 14.

    New stuff that is in XIV only:

    Ixal, Kobold, Am'ja beastmen. Ravana (new to FF series), Hildebrand, some of the monster sprites are newly designed (and better than previous iterations), Scions/Ascians (names maybe not but their cult is new)...prolly some more just cant think of anything else.

    Hallowed Ground was in FFXI but it was known as 'Invincible', it was PLD's '2 hour ability'. But it basically had the same effect.

    Really, the thing I want the rest of SE to take away from FFXIV ARR's development for future games in the series is what Yoshi-P learned, don't patronize the players and just think flashy graphics and the name alone will sell a FF game. It won't. Tanaka learned that the hard way with the whole 1.0 debacle.
