Ugh... my static got together last night to continue our progress in T12. T10/T11 have been on farm. Guess what? Monk and tank don't meet the Ilevel requirement. Now we're in a kind of limbo. yay

That's a really sucky situation, are they new to the game? I'd imagine unless they were completely new to the game they would have at least 2 or 3 poetics accessories for other classes they could throw on plus whatever left side gear they have just to get in then put their real gear on after you get in.

If not then I'd farm t10/11 for literally any accessories they can grab just to boost the ilvl to get in (that might be easier and avoid them wasting poetics if they don't have many accessories). That being said, I do know with all the DW drops a monk can need roll in 10 and 11 they're put to about i120ish with a 115 weapon and the rest of the gear 110.

Yeah... that's what we started to do immediately. Was able to get the tank to I120 by the end of the night and a couple of pieces for the monk to get to I117. So some work still to be done there. It was just kind of deflating.

Kinda funny that the monk just barely managed to meet the requirement to enter T11 (which he has been farming for a while now). Dude's been playing a while. And truth be told... I've always hassled him to gear up. If anything, to make our runs faster.

The cap is allright, even static parties with such ilvls usually struggle (T13). We are talking about DF parties here.

Big, obvious thing...Zeta sword > Dreadwyrm sword. Even with the same basic secondaries. And if you're going for a true STR bis...fantasia to a highlander

That's not true at all. DW is the best sword due to its lower delay and the way sword oath operates. It's the only DW weapon that surpasses it's zeta counter part.

Race was never discussed but yes highlander is the best tank str race.

I imagine he means i130 Str accessories, as I do for BiS. BiS only matters though when running with people I can use that gear with though, and actually try to push for new highs.

Tank bis has always included penta melded top-tier accessOries. I have 9k health without food, the exact recommended amount for pld, and if I switched the last 4 points into str, I'd have 600 str. My pld is definitely op, and my war is as weill, that's got 605str and still breaks 11k in defiance. I get crap loads of vit and str, way better than the gains of a hybrid build, since each piece gives me both

STR > unnecessary VIT

Hybrids are effective pieces but are not BiS. 9k is recommended HP (after pty buff and food) for t13 (way less for all other content) but not necessary, people can complete it in i110 gear/hp. Hybrid i110s are better then mixing and matching i130 VIT/STR accessories, but neither build is BiS. BiS is full STR i130s.

With echo those hybrid pieces are for when you don't trust your healers for statics both tanks should be in full STR.

Best is Slot is best in slot. Not best with average healers or best on a budget or best I can obtain. Its BEST.

Yeah I think the ilvls are fine. Considering most PF farm parties have ilvl set to 120 for turns 10-12.
