Huzzah! No mechanics nerfs! The Echo is most welcome and I think is sufficient enough to help everyone through. Most of the mechanics in FCoB are not very threatening anyway - just that they deal a crapton of damage.

If encounters were like that on average, we wouldn't see people rage-quitting as soon as they see the Trial. I'm not going to be a prick like that since that benefits no one, but I'm just not touching the Roulette, because the trial is a time sink which does have the reward to justify playing it.
Steps of Faith sticks out like a sore thumb compared to anything in Trials Roulette. One good encounter isn't changing the fact that one failed attempt guarentees the Roulette is inferior to standard Crystal Tower, and if you get new bonus Crystal Tower, the trial is inferior period. The main problem isn't the difficulty, the problem is that the reward isn't worth the difficulty. We need the option to vote-reset, or buff the soldiery/poetics, or grant new bonus stuff,

And just what the heck is so hard about Steps? You need teamwork and calm heads. Although it would be awesome if the encounter timer did not start until Vishap is actually attacked...
There's nothing wrong with Steps, it's just not very PUG friendly, and even upon explaining said mechanics, most average Joe's will need about 5 wipes before it actually clicks. Typically taking about 30 minutes to do so, or more. I'd kind of rather have the 30 minute penalty myself, would save me the headache.
It's not that I forget, it's just that I don't care.
Actually them taking 4hrs means their network admins are thorough. I kinda applaud them being meticulous.
While I have just beaten t10 its nice to see they simply added echo. T10 and 11's difficulty lies in the mechanics, and nerfing just 1 would make them super trivial even if it was just 1 attack. Those 2 bosses are all 1 shot mechanic. Taking it away would make people roll their faces on the keyboard and be done with it.
sounds like a problem with the people not the fight.I'm not sure if you've ever used the duty finder on that fight, but literally nobody listens. I explain roles, and what to do for every class to make things easy, and it's still absolute chaos. I don't even touch trial roulette anymore thanks to that garbage, I farm my poetics from FCoB, since apparently that is easier to clear.
I'm kind of sad they didn't remove the Poe cap. Guess I'm stuck spamming WoD for armor so I can get all my side classes i130 weapons. >.>
I fairly recently came back to the game from the hiatus due to the upcoming expansion and I just have to laugh at these coil elitist posts.
Coil isn't anything special it just requires a group of people willing to dedicate a couple nights of week to practicing the mechanics. That's it. If someone is having problems you work with them to address the mechanic that's a problem and move on.
The only hurdle is the willingness to put time in, identify the mechanics, and have 8 people willing to adjust their play to what's needed. If people are having roadblocks that are trying hard and failing it's most likely because some people in their 8 man are unwilling to admit what they did wrong and adjust, once they do you will progress again. This of course, includes looking at your own play critically.

Wow. I guess the fact that I don't want to waste 30+ minutes of my time on content I've cleared, wiping, because people can't get their selves together. Sorry if wanting to not die makes me a "coiler" in your own words. Way to be extremely prejudiced and insulting. Guess I have to waste my entire day on someone else just to not be seen as completely elitist and heartless. And, it must also only be competent raiders that don't want to do trial roulette, or waste their time on a pug steps of faith. Because only casuals waste their time on other people.
