The few times I've seen that error message has been in conjunction with overclocked GPUs. Is there any chance your graphics card came pre-overclocked? If so, you could try installing an Nvidia OC software (like Gigabyte OC Guru) and try turning down the GPU clock with 25 Mhz or so and see if it makes a difference.
