Make Crystal Tower loot upgradable!

I was talking about this with my LS-mates a lot pre-2.5. I think it would be a fine idea, really. The argument that "anyone" can do WoD is a patently silly one since "anyone" can get Poetics and get that gear as well. Keep the upgrade items scarce, just as they have done with Tomestone gear, and it gives us more gear options and more reason to do the content.

Honestly, I'd prefer they removed upgrade items from Hunts altogether (or limited them to 1/week as they currently are from the 24-man), and the two things done in concert would largely cull item-level inflation while increasing the options available to us for gear . Currently, the choice between an augmented item or the Coil item is usually pretty clear as long as you know your class's stat priorities, which makes the actual choices in gearing largely pretty minimal.

If they were to make the upgraded versions of 24-man gear dyable, this would also increase our options for glamour, too, which is always a plus.

There is more then enough gear options out there.
CT, ST, and Wod are just sooooo boring and not worth the time of day other then weekly quest or bonus light for Relic. Besides what would be the point in having upgradeable tower gear when Heavansward is not too far away and will bring new gear?
And why is it easier for Bard? Well when CT was first introduced ALL that ever dropped was Bard and Monk gear (Crimson Robe took well over 80 runs to drop) Wod has been the same in that regard that for the most part all that would ever drop is Bard gear. I still have yet to see Caster Robe drop more then the one time i seen it and lost the roll.... I know it varies by player but my level of frustration with wod, yaargh
Also back in the day of myth gear, that stuff would take weeks to get, now they have made available so many gear options and even gearing achievable for those really lazy people XD

Presumably if they were to introduce upgradeable loot for 24-mans now, it would move forward with the 24-mans in Heavensward, Maero.

Yes please. Frankly the current Bard 130 tops suck and the best ones stat-wise are the Demon Top (120) and the best being Kirimu Pentameld (110). Having more viable stat variety can just be a good thing anyways.

They really should've had the WoD weapons and gear upgradable since 2,5 instead of adding raid loot (tomes, coats, twines) into a content that has nothing to do with the said items.
