Why would DPS NOT be using XPots while raiding? Is there any real argument that can be made against their use except "waste of hot bar space"?

You can use one self buff pot and one target pot per potion CD
NQ have longer CD than HQ
I don't X pot while farming with or helping most groups, honestly. It's not cheap over multiple runs and I'm unlikely to set personal bests outside of static play anyway.
That said, I do use HQ mega pots sometimes for a more economical boost
Edit: Now that I think about it, mega pots are a waste of mats; at least for str pots considering I can 100% HQ x pots... I'm such a derp. Lol
Shark oil is the majority of the cost and both pots use one in the recipe.

The only use i had with them is when doing progression on fights. Like when Coil first came without the echo and without over gearing that Xpots really helps to push that extra dmg you need.
I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
If you can get them cheap/self craft use them where it makes sense. I have 3 pots on my bard bar and 2 on blm and 1 on whm/sch. The 3 on bard are Potent Poisoning, X-dex, some MP restoration(be it one of the elixirs(my preference - since it's likely I'll need to pop it after a rez(and that will add a bit of HP as well to not have me insta die while getting buffed) to get MP back to sing mana or one of the ethers - I just use what I get from dungeon chests - when running with friends we tend to pick them clean and whoever has a full stack will often send any excess to the others along the way).
