    Will there ever be Werewolves?

    Apparently werewolves are a thing in the Final Fantasy universe. Will there ever be an expansion that introduces them? Like a Black Shroud expansion or something?

    They were in like... 3 or 4 games in the series, the ones I remember just looked like normal wolves, but there were a few in FF5 that looked anthromorphic.

    Eh, they are and aren't. In some they are just enemies with no real lore. I think the most lore I've seen for "Werewolves" were for the Gnoles in FFXI saying that they came from the north and were once men. (Memory is hazy)

    There have only been a handful of games that let you play as a werewolf... and Final Fantasy wasn't any of them (not even sure if you can be one in XI's beast-riding minigame... thing). And in neither of those games were you doing anything remotely 'heroic' when raging as a werewolf. Heck, in Skyrim you recovered health by eating people while you were a werewolf...

    Iirc, that was just a speculation that some npcs spoke of, like a legend, don't think it was ever confirmed fully or will be. Though they could count as were'wolves' still
