Is there any way to get confirmation from the devs as to what item level the tomestone of law gear is going to be?

If they are officially announcing the tomestone gear, surely they already developed it and know what item level it will be.

Just curious as to how far our current gear will take us into the expansion.

Well since there are Law and Esoteric Tomestones that were mentioned, its probably

Law = 130 > 135-140
Esoteric = 140 > 145-150

Depends on whether or not they want to keep increasing by ten, but I could've thought they said that they were going to slow down the item level climb, but I could be wrong. Hell its all speculation at this point.

Well sense we never have received two new tomes at the same time. I believe there is a possibility Law will replace Poetics, and become the new no lock tomestone. And Esoteric will be for all the new gear. Unless they plan on leaving Soldiery, and poetics alone, which I highly doubt. Also I doubt they will make all of the current gear Poetics gear unobtainable via tomes, this early. But I've never been through a xpac with a game that uses this kind of gear system. So I don't know what to really expect. But looking at the past track record of this game, that's my thoughts.

It was already announced in the live letter that Law will have no weekly limit, and Esoterics will have a weekly limit. Esoterics will only be unlocked 1 month after release, at the same time when Alexander Hard is unlocked.

At the same time, Yoshi-P also said that the iLv progression is different to what we have now, but he didn't go into details.

It's all speculation right now, nothing has been stated about ilvl in 3.0. That said I highly doubt it will be anything less than i150 at level 60, having it at 130-135 would take away the incentive to do endgame content from people with current best in slot gear.

I don't see them getting rid of poetics, as technically not everyone will have the expansion (even though just about everyone will). They could make them dungeon drops though, but i would say unlikely.

My big questions what is going to happen to the soldiery and poetics? Probably the soldiery will be removed and the poetic cap will be unlocked
Lets remember this the new allagan tombstomes will be usefull for the players that are in Heavensward, but what for those that are still on ARR? And whar for those that havent bought the expasion after its release ?

Yes we did , at 2.0 launch we had "Philosophy Tomes" (ilv 70 gear , not weekly capped) and "Mythology Tomes" (ilv 90 300/300 weekly cap) .

They could be leaving Soldiery/Poetics in for people that haven't purchased the expansion. *shrugs*

A year and a half later, and people are still calling TOMESTONES, tombstones /sigh
