Would it be possible to spend some resources on bringing the games graphics into the current era?

Nothing in this game casts shadows except the player models. When you play this, then login to say, Age of Conan, 2 things are instantly apparent.

1. Age of Conan has awesome graphics. Everything casts shadows, godrays are there, you name it, its got all the perks you would expect from a modern graphics engine.
2. Age of Conan's world seems proportionally wrong after playing FF14. The buildings and so on seem too small, the world seems last "vast" in the visual sense than FF14.

When you play FF14, 2 things are instantly apparent.

1. FF14 has awesome graphics. The character models are top notch, best in show. The textures and graphics are generally superior to other MMOs. There is a total lack of effects like shadows, godrays, and other modern graphical 'perks' which renders all this beauty fairly lifeless and static.
2. FF14 world seems proportionally right, i.e. everything feels appropriately sized compared to many other MMOs I have played.

In short, although my preference would be for the dev's to stop rolling out summer events, new crafting systems, and other stuff that isn't really fixing the core issues with the game, if they are going to continue to put resources on these type of questionable value adds, could you please work on bringing the graphic effects into the current era?
