Is it worth it going for Supra/Lucis?

I've gotten all crafts to 50 and the only one with an artisan MH is CUL but a few of them have the artisan's OH with Artisan's melded gear and the melded Dodore/Aetheryte Ring/ Accessories

As it is, should I be trying for Supra/Lucis with non-artisan's main hands or just trying to get the supra and then lucis tools? For some reason I'm having issues just being able to craft 1 HQ Water-logged Gryphonskin strap for LTW and I foresee this being the case for others.

Just going to have to keep hoping RNG is good?
Without food all of my classes would essentially have 408 Craft 388 Control and 352 CP

Maybe post ur rotation tht u use
Cuz all u need is 5x of NQ 3 star master book items & 3x master demi materia for a DoH supra.
    I just spammed
Steady hand 2, PbP, PbP, and a bunch of waste not with steady hand 2 & rapid synth cuz all i wanted was NQ.
My set was full artisan turn in gear, accessories were barely melded correctly lol ( 2/3 melds non penta melded ) and i used a barely melded militia off hand ( 1 meld )
For every tool i was just meeting minimum requirements but managed to reach wvr lucis in the end.

Do you mean, shooting for the manual II tokens and farming your supra on the way?
If that's the case, your stats are plenty to do that.

If you're interested just in supra -> lucis progression, then you don't even need to worry about any rotation because you just need nq.

Lucis is a significant stat upgrade and if you get them soon you still have 2 months before Xpac.

I haven't gotten a single supra yet (of which I feel dumb because it only needs NQ ><)

but simple rotations have been not as simple or I've just got really bad luck when I tried getting stuff like the waterlogged gryphonskin straps I've been working on as LTW.

edit: ok i'm a dumbass and i wasn't doing the simple things the right way to get the supra. ><

While getting your supra try for the HQ, then you will have the HQs for the tome unlock.

The thought process I used to decide if I wanted to was that I would go for them if I could make my money back in the time period before the expansion comes out and if it was worth the time investment based on the current economy. In my case, I stopped at 3 star and I am happy.

That's a sound logic. I probably would've stopped at 2 stars myself if I didn't want the rest for completion's sake.. and found good deals on mcDs to get through the supras. But if you think about it, getting supra + lucis is only like 1-2m gil. If you make a few 3/4 star furnitures for yourself, you're already almost breaking even there.

I made my way to Lucis on WVR (and MIN), though getting a few other artisan tools, getting the masterbook 2, Supra, and finally Lucis for WVR really ate up my motivation to craft, lol. Now I have an absolutely fully geared WVR (and the others aren't half bad) but virtually no motivation to craft anything. In my case it would probably be a complete waste to go after any other Lucis tools since I'll almost certainly not take advantage of it before the expansion. Once the expansion hits I fully expect all of my gear (even my WVR) will be medicore (at 60) and not at all worth the past effort (if I don't take advantage of it within the next 2 months).

So basically, if you're going to craft up a storm and make some money (more than you'll put in) then go for it! Lucis tools are a serious stat boost and will definitely be the best tools for the next 2 months. SE might even allow them to be the best tools for a longer period of time, but I wouldn't really count on it.

It is ALWAYS worth it to go for better gear.

    Period.
