T10 - Before/after charge
T11 - Seed of the Sea
T12 - After initial pull, moving from fountain to fountain
T13 - Stacking after/before mega, giga and what not.

If you're on mouse/KB then I think they best way to use it would be with a <mo> macro. Gives you the freedom to move to any party member you want by just hovering your cursor over them. I use it frequently in every turn in final coil with the exception of 11.
I think it's extremely useful in coil, but even then, is really situational and I use it more along the lines of panic button.
There's certain situations that Aetherial is pretty good. The first one that cross my mind is fountains in T12. The way my group does it (We solo Warrior tank) Sch takes the first 2 stacks, I take the 2 others then Paladin takes the remaining.
If fountain is far from you, I Aetherial on my Scholar. I suaully use it during a proc to save time. Even if you are inside, the tether will stay to the person closest to the center. You move next to the target, not inside.

I don't think the skill have much use outside coil, but I think it has much use in coil itself.
I don't main a BLM but have played a little with it in FCoB, and I think it is rather useful. As a BLM you should cut down on movements which prevents you from casting, so AM is pretty much useful.
For T10, you can use it to teleport to stack for either tether or charge.
For T11, you can use it to teleport to the egg after both sphere and cube died. If you had a MNK, more than likely the MNK will shoulder tackle over to the egg and there you can abuse this by AM yourself to the MNK so you don't have to run over.
For T12, you can use it to teleport to the DPS party to stack for first blackfire since your starting cast is no where near the stacking point. I use it to move into fountains too since I don't like to stand near the fountain make it a clusterf**k where pinons fly around that area. When it is time to enter fountain, I just AM to the guy currently in the fountain and he moves out
I haven't played BLM in T13 yet, but I guess there are things you can do like using it to move back to the party after dealing with earthshakers, or teleporting to the center for megaflare stacking if someone is already there (healers maybe?)

I use AM after the charge, not before, to get out of the lightning floor ASAP.For T10, you can use it to teleport to stack for either tether or charge.
For T11, you can use it to teleport to the egg after both sphere and cube died. If you had a MNK, more than likely the MNK will shoulder tackle over to the egg and there you can abuse this by AM yourself to the MNK so you don't have to run over.
Also, if you use it after finishing off the cube (#teamcube), just be careful you don't instagib yourself flying through Kaliya.

Hmm I guess that works too. I'm usually positioned on a further distance so it would prob take me more effort to drag myself between each cast to move over to stack rather than moving out (used sprint plus usually getting a proc during charge, plus boss takes considerably long to move back to position and that tailswipe thing so there's time to move between casts without wasting uptime, at least for me).
Good reminder, I've seen my old team's BLM did that once and I laughed lol (although it was in P1, he flew through the barofield).

Pretty much any time you ever need to move you should teleport instead if it's an option. The job thrives on minimizing movement and maintaining casting uptime. Aetherial Manipulation is one of the best tools with which to do that. It makes a bigger difference in coil, but there are times to use it beneficially on just about all content.
When in doubt, assume sarcasm
I use it to catch up to people when they run ahead of me.
