Will probably let zeta holders get a bit of a headstart on new relic.
"We need to make a weapon. We need materials to forge, enhancement stuff, etc." With Zodiac weap: "That's a fancy weapon you got there. I'm sure we could use that instead of base materials. Lets do that."
This is what I'm assuming. Like, using the current relics as an example, it'd be like starting from the Animus section, instead of right from the beginning. I guess it will all depend on what ilvl the gear will start from at 60, and current relics will jump in at an appropriate point in the quest chain where it'll be an actual upgrade.
So... only zeta holders will start from somewhere?
and others will start.. from .. the beginning?
Real Life > FFXIV
Looking forward to someone with clear idea before i work with a relic now and waste my time and effort
no one outside SE has better idea...we are just guessing....
i think the new relic will start like 2.0 with a crafted weapon , relic users wont need to craft it and will use zeta as catalyst (w/o losing the weapon ) and ppl w/o zeta will need the weapon crafted and maybe some quest before that (kill some mobs or do a dungeon ....)
It's all guess work at this point, as it has been before every expansion. Square "hints" at tons of things, then goes in a whole other direction half the time, and sometimes only half delivers. In my opinion, relics are a ridiculous waste of tons of time (that could be spent doing better things) for a very minimal performance difference. The game is not hard enough to "require" relics at any point yet. But hey, that's just my opinion when valuing my own personal time.
It all comes down to your time value. If you have nothing else to do, knock out multiple relics. Otherwise, do something else and wait it up till the expansion.
