There is a formal petition for action against RMT, also here is a list of player suggestions; if you have any to add that aren't already there, please post. Thanks for voicing your concern!![]()

Thanks for voicing your concern! So, I've been logged into ff for probably 90 hours by now. At this rate I'll be able to play for another 40 before my blacklist is completely full... and every single one so far is from gilspam. Could square enix PLEASE do something about this? It's gotten so bad I have one window dedicated for just tells, and I don't pay attention to it anymore.![]()
yes, you can always block tells, but whenever your in one of the starter cities, they still spam there /shout channels. I'ts been the same one on my server for awhile in ulda. So I guss I need to create a separate tab for /shout and just ignore that one now if I'm ever in town.
Kinda sux though for people who use shout to try to get a crafter to meld meteria for them. But that happens very rarely. So wont really miss anything ignoring the /shout channel anyways.
Cure gilselling by permanently making crafting irrelevant in endgame. I presume you also cure athlete's foot by shooting the foot off.Best way to fight RMT; find out what makes it so popular-->getting something of benefit for the gil. What is it? BiS crafter gear (in a lot of cases) and run selling are the major turning points. Why do people sell runs? It's often to make the ends meet to be able to afford those BiS items, as this game doesn't really give full time raiders much keys to make gil.
My proposition? Never make crafted/buyable gear BiS. That way, the benefit of gil is taken away. That in turn is also gonna affect run-selling, reducing it by a large margin. I do realize that some people RMT for expensive vanity items, but in any games I have played where the best gear can't be bought the RMT hasn't been anywhere as bad as here.
Also take more active role into banning those gold selling scrubs faster.
That is such a good example. Having the best gear be buyable with in-game currency always promotes RMT and is a bad concept in general. Crafters should be compensated via other means.
As a new player of less than two weeks, Square Enix, this is terrifying if it is indeed true...Whiston is probably correct unfortunately.
It wouldn't surprise me if you're more likely to get banned for interrupting bots than bots are to get banned for botting.
So my recommendation: Leave them be. Report them if you feel like it, but know that SE has a team of 3 people to deal with it. 3 people to deal with the ocean of bots. So action probably won't be taken anytime soon.
