I also found this progression chart to be very helpful in streamlining my endgame goals: http://intothemists.com/ffxiv/chart_for_end_game/

Take note that it is outdated in terms of currency. The game dropped the use of Philosopher and Mythos stones and instead use Soldiery and Poetics. However, this should help out in pointing you as to where you should be going next. Take whichever serves you best.
