Characters with Tattoos on Body

we need more tattoos not sure why we cant get 1 like the scions have

I know this post is from forever ago, but this is actually something I still have to explain to people currently, so

The tattoo that many of the Scions and several of the Sharlayan NPCs have in conspicuous places mark them as Archons, sages of their disciplines. This makes them easily identifiable when they want, among other things, to access the restricted sections of Sharlayan libraries. It's the equivalent of tattooing your Ph.D. somewhere visible so the other academics know you belong among them. This is why we likely won't get this as a tattoo option ever. Though I'm still hoping a certain character will some day be able to make an Archon thesis out of

There is also a tattoo design on the South Seas Talisman chest piece, but it's male-only iirc.

I also wish there would be more Options for tatoos all over the Body Atm I only got the Legacy one on my back.

I imagine the reason is that when creating the character customisation they didn't work in a feature for having notable texture features on anything but the face. The gear thing is really just getting around the issue. Torso gear pretty much replaces the torso texture hence why when a piece of gear bugs out the entire section of the character is missing.

I'd love it too but I can understand why it probably won't be something done anytime soon.

Keep in mind some of the Ravel Keeper caster arm slot pieces have tattoos, as well.

Yeah, one of the PvP sets has a different set of arm tattoos. One of the new ishgard glamour sets has one as well. The people who made this post 6 years ago didnt have those options. Though they would be happy to know that some of the sets that used to be class exclusive now have neutral versions available.

There are multiple pieces of gear that have tattoos (or perhaps body paint) with them.
