Possibility of token exchange for High Allagan Gear

Is there a possibility that High Allagan gear from the Second Coil of Bahamut (SCOB) be exchangeable with tokens in the future?

I am particularly interested in this as some of the items such as Heavy High Allagan Coat for tanks only drop in Turn 9 (Second Coil Turn 4). I've done close to 300+ rounds of Turn 9 in the duty finder and only had 3 parties clear it. It's practically impossible to clear that instance in the duty finder and extremely demoralizing. The echo buff doesn't mean squat in that instance since it has many instant wipe mechanics.

A significant number of parties are not even able to clear phase 2 smoothly, let alone 3 or 4.

I've been doing this instance repetitively in the Duty Finder hoping to obtain my tank armour, but the rate of success is so extremely low and not forgetting that there would be another RNG roll on what type of loot appears. It sort of locks out certain classes such as tanks from obtaining the gear they would like to attain.

Just PF it lol, plus t9 can be solo tanked, so if it drops its yours.

300 runs in the df for t9? Why would you do that?

I'm just impressed he cleared it 3 times using the DF.

Your best bet with pugging is making a PF with solo tank (you really don't need a 2nd one like in DF), stating it is a clear and/or farm party with no soldiery bonus allowed. Should weed out those who obviously have no clear experience.

The thing I don't like about that though, is that excluding so bonus is unnecessarily restrictive. You then lock out alts, people who are unlucky enough to not be able to clear with their static or pugs, but can play their role perfectly. While a lot of people won't join farms without a kill, if someone sends me a tell about it, I'd usually let them in

That is the point. If someone believes they are an exception they can message the leader if they want to allow it. Many people sneak in with a bonus and don't speak up. So you don't know who it is, or whom to remove if things go sour.

Yeah, I find this usually works with most party leaders as long as people are just honest and forward with it. What I don't like though, is going into a T11 farm when my PF clearly stated "no bonus, bring lots of experience" and then seeing that bonus notification pop up - that's just bad manners.

On-topic: Doing T9 in Duty Finder is asking for trouble. It's the only part of SCoB that, mechanics-wise, remains unchanged and as such it's intended for end-game players with voice chat and good coordination, two things you'll never have in DF parties. If you want to farm it, I'd get to know the other raiders on your server (on Cerberus there's a couple of big FCoB farming linkshells - it makes it easy to get in touch with good players), find a few who want to farm T9 and then PF the remaining few whilst making sure everyone knows what they're doing. Agree on a method for handling meteors and off you go. I'd also recommend using the permanent waymarks strategy for the final phase, having one person calling out where to take each divebomb instead of moving the waymarks each time. Makes things a little easier and focused.
