    Looking to buy a Laptop?

Hey everyone! I'm a pc player currently and I have a really nice desktop that I use now. But I'm looking to buy a laptop that can Play FFXIV: ARR on good settings. But I've never bought a laptop before. I would like any suggestions and some good places to go and buy one, and what I should be looking for. I'm looking to spend between 1000-1500 on it. Thanks

MSI has some pretty robust laptops that should perform well for your price range.

What generation is the i7? Sandy Bridge? Ivy Bridge? The 800 series NVIDIA cards are great, but even the 700 series are stronger than necessary for this game at max settings.

My minimum recommendations are at least a generation 3 or above Intel i5 Sandy Bridge, at least GTX 750 2gb GPU, and at minimum 6gb ram. The processor is nice, but video games like these are more GPU heavy, not CPU heavy due to the graphics, so an i5 should mean you don't have any throttle from your CPU. Given the age of the game as well, a 750 and up on the GPU should be more than enough. The 700 series of NVIDIA graphics cards were made after the release of 2.0, and should handle this game, and even the expac at max settings. I say 6 gb of ram because most computers now come stock with at least 4 gb, and 2 more gb should be easy to purchase, and the boost from you ram is hardly noticeable. Everything beyond this is all bells and whistles, or dependent on your ISP

I got MSI for about 1500 and man, everything runs nice on it. Well definitely expect to have 60 FPS in FFXIV with everything on max. )

I do all my PC shopping on Newegg. You could likely find something on there.
